Floyd the cheapest i was able to find it from a reliable source was about $900 for the headunit and another $450 for the S1.

www.speedsound.com

I like that headunit since it also includes a built in x-over.

Definitely feeling that headunit since im willing to give up my Avic-N1 for it

^^^

Eclipse has one like that in Japan that also shows a split screen with real satellite pics. I'll see if I can find a pic. It's been out for a few years.

I have the Avic Z-1 and it does everything I need. I really dont see how anything else would be more practicle. Surfing the net in a car is pointless to me.

Does the Z1 do building outlines? I know my AVN6600 does but the database is still new and it's only in a few cities. That is very helpful. I would like more of that and more traffic conditions on the screen.

Yeah in certain area's when you zoom in close enough. It also shows signs as to whats on the corners and in the area. Gas Station, Supermarket, etc .

You can just have your POI set up to show all gas stations, etc right?
