i usually wash my own car every other week. my car right now is too damn dirty and it's cold outside.

gqraverrice:
For some reason, I just feel a lot better after washing my car...am I the only one that feels that way? haha. You know how they say doing cardio releases endorphins or whatever that make you happy...driving a clean G is the samething haha.
+1

if you guys dont wash your own car do you guys take it out to a carwash place? i do sometimes

I used to when I had an accord. Then I noticed massive swirl marks and tiny scratches. NEVER AGAIN.

There are some times when you can't help but to have a dirty car (rain, etc) but I go insane and end up washing my car in the middle of the night, on my lunch or other strange times like that.

There are a couple other G's at my work and they are dirty a lot of the time. It just makes me feel better about my car.

Obviously you guys care so much about the look of your car. I bet if your car gets in a heavy accident, you guys would sell it after it has been repaired, because you can not stand it when your car is not in perfect condition.

Yep, I'm the same...HATE a dirty G. My wife came home from work the other day, after dark, and wondered WTF was I doing washing the car in the dark! It was the only time I had! And besides, I had a small worklight :-)

I get mad when a piece of my wife's hair is left on the seat/dash/whatever. I also don't allow food or liquids in the car except water.

I wash my car weekly by hand during the summer, spray booth in the winter but I will never use their brush. I know it won't be clean but it's mainly to get rid of the salt.

I guess it's a priority thing. If the wife is happy... move on to the G.

+1million...getting acidic bug shiit and insect guts off quickly is a must. I have a quick detail and microfiber in the trunk. This one time at band camp , (*at the gym) I came out to 15 bird droppings and it was late so I could not wash. I drove home and lightly used the quick detail on each spot and then washed the car the next day. I too roll in a clean G 99% of the time.

*damned area has a canopy of large oak trees and seasonally(spring/summer) thousands of black bards hang around and shiit on cars in the street and all cars in parking lots covering one full intersection/2 streets and all 4 businesses on the corner

I'm glad to see I'm not the only person. Both my wife and my little sister thinks I have a problem, because I'm always cleaning my car. It's not always a wash, but what I call a DDD (daily dust down) lol. I just wish I can do something about the stupid brake dust. I don't want to replace them though because they stop on a dime and that's more important to me than having no brake dust.

I can't stand my car being dirty, it's been hard this year to keep it clean, I have been to the car wash, I'm not into getting frostbite on my hands anymore keeping my car clean, so the car wash nearby is a good alternative. The weather has been so bad here, I am behind on giving my G a good wax, hope it warms up soon! Lot's of dirty cars around here right now!

you take pride in a clean car and thats cool. I am sure you know its an object that can be replaced and people we love can not be replaced so and so forth...but you know all that stuff.

BTW, I replaced my front brake pads (new rotors too) with ceramic pads and it stops great, with no squeeks and NO DUST.
