Break in period
Break in period
HI guys,
I know a lot has been said about this, but I cant seem to find the description of what needs to be done during the break-in period. I know someone had a post describing what you do the first 400 miles and then next 400 and the remaining 400 miles. General consensus is to keep it below 4k rpm up to 1200 miles. Please direct me to the post describing the details or if you know give me the details. Thanks in advance
P.S: Got my G 2 days ago and she's a beauty!!

Re: Break in period
Remember, proper break-in (if such a thing even exists for modern engines) is highly disputed by professionals in the field. The FAQ only represents one school of thought on the subject.

When in doubt, follow the guidelines in your owner's manual.
And remember, break-in isn't just for the engine, it's for the entire drivetrain.. transmission, brakes, etc.
