Is this shifter vibration normal?

I have a 6MT. Yesterday, had to gun the car past a truck in 2nd gear. Probably went up to about 5K RPM's, but I didn't upshift and just let it coast back down. Right at about 4k RPMs, i felt a rapid vibration through the shifter as the RPM's continued to steadily drop--it only lasted for a split second. Is that vibration normal? I know we feel all sorts of vibrations through the 6MT shifter, but just want to be sure it's not a sign of anything being amiss....Thanks.

I would agree that it is normal.
Most of the trouble with the 6MT is related to the synchos and having a hard time shift w/o grinding.

Yeah it's normal. There is even a Xlb weight on the tranny to help that. I took mine off and it did not change much at all. Saved a good 5+lbs too.
