Dyno G35x with AWD fuse pulled

There is only one AWD dyno around here that's out of business.
I also heard AWD dyno is not accurate.

Can I dyno the G35x on 2wd dyno with the AWD fuse pulled?

Has anyone tried it?

I dont think that just pulling the fuse will make it RWD. I think that the best bet would be to drop the front drive line.

I am pretty sure that when you pull the AWD fuse it is 100% RWD. I think that you should be fine but dont take my word for it. I plan on removing the fuse for spring/summer so I can run staggared.

I know that there are a few X owners running without it. Hopefullly, they will give their 2 cents.

In my old GTR (R32), it had two different fuses, one made it full time rear wheel tire the other made it full time 4 wheel drive. Not sure if the X's are the same way or not, plus I only tested the one that made it rear wheel drive.
Pull the fuse and do a short burnout, you'll know for sure that way.

I believe the one to make it rwd was under the hood (bonnet) and it was called a heater of some sort. It's been a few years so I forgot what it was called.
Just checked the manual, it was a 30A fusible link called "PTC Heater 4WD"

I'm not sure if any dyno shops will even do that. Maybe if you sign something in case it is damaged.

The g35x AWD Fuse is on cabin, driver side next to the foot rest.

Neal376 had the Fuse pulled & it became a RWD, he was runinng for several month no problem until spin into an accident.

Here are the photos from his old post. where he made a dis-connect switch.

I am just wondering if the car will get damaged doing WOT dyno on RWD
mode. In theory, I think it's OK, I am sure Neal did WOT runs with fuse pulled, any Pioeers out there have done that? Com on, you know you want to dyno your X.

Doesn't the system kick into RWD after a certain speed? FXs I think it's 18mph it switches to RWD unless it senses slip.

There's a website somewhere for RWD and AWD dynos and locations. I had mine dynoed and tuned at Altered Atmosphere. There's also an AWD dyno in Edison, NJ that I've been to.
