he's probably aware of the consequence, so it's not a big deal to him. i'd be more concerned if the passenger had a mishap or someone else was driving. i suppose if you're willing to live w/ the risk, then it's all good.

 

i have only had 2 people in my car a coworker and daughter and she sits in back and no one has every driven her since i bought her

 

I got the boot in today and it looks good now I have to figure out how to attach it!

since you took off the shift plate? would a MT shift ring fit in there?

 

Maybe but there is nothing to mount it too and you cant buy one you have to buy the whole boot kit!! I may in the process of getting a MT console for it anyway so once I get that I will be straight and I will be moving the E-brake up there too! And yours is a Auto **** huh!!!

 

Just a point here that people seem to be missing... If you shift into reverse at about 20klm/hr or more, the car just won't do it. I guess it IS like the rev limiter. The car is smart enough to know that would be a bad idea and it will just coast until you slow down or change back to "D". But if you do it at 5-10 klm/hr - boom!

 

yeap, but i'm gonna get rid of that boot, and try to swap in the plate from the FX, it just started looking too bulged to me.

 

Just get rid of some of the boot material!
