Stopping improved somewhat. The noticable difference is that they are not as grabby like the old brakes which the 03-04 sedans owners know exactly what I'm talking about. I washed the wheels and the brake dust comparison will come after some driving.



On a side note, I picked up some cleaning products made by Stoner, Trim Shine and More Shine which is specifically for tires. I have used another product made by them for quite some time now, which is Invisible Glass that I am quite pleased with and haven't picked up a windex bottle since. I am truely impressed with the products. As I sprayed the Trim Shine on the bottom black trim around the car, it was like I was spraying clear coat or black paint on the trim. The directions said no wiping, but I was skeptical so I went and got a rag. Before I wiped any access off I ran my finger across the area I covered and it was like nothing was there!!! Same effect for the tires. So I will see how the tire shine works out over time. But from initial use, I like the fact there is no greasy residue like most of the products out there.

About the Trim Shine, are you saying the material took the trim from the nasty Euro gray to the black pictured? If so, I gotta get some of that stuff. What did you do to keep the material from getting on the paint?

 

Is it just me or other people think that there is no point of upgrading to 05-06 coupe brakes? If that was 03-04 brembos it would be sick.

 

Yes the trim shine did exactly what you are looking at. I just sprayed the product directly onto the trim being careful not to get any on the paint. There is not residue, so I don't think you would even notice it if some did get on the paint. Directions say you don't even have to wipe it off, unless additional buffing is necessary to enhance the shine.

 

Upgrading to these brakes is no different than the sedans that come with the revised brakes. 12.6" rotors and two piston caliper, no more touchy feely brakes, no more brake dust. What more could I ask for that only cost $190. Buy some brembos for that price.
