Rear seat plastic loop purpose?

I noticed the other day that there are two plastic/rubber loops under the front of the rear seat cushions. They look like they are there to pull for some function so I did. Nothing happened. Anyone know what they are for? I didn't see anything in the manual about them-

I saw those and was tugging on them the other day. Didn't pull too hard for fear my leather uphostlery was going to deflate or something. Try and pull it real hard and get back to us!!

Try looking in your owner's manual!

In past cars these were used to remove the seats, including my Nissan Sentra which I did remove. Assume it's the same thing here, but I don't have a service manual and don't really have an urge to try it.

yes the above is correct. they are to remove the rear seats.. when I had my system installed.. we had to remove them for the ground and power wires to get to the back

I figured thats what they were for. I like my rear seats though and do not want to remove them.

Can I use them to eject my mother-in-law when she comes to visit at Christmas. I am sure she would fit through the sunroof

DON'T, EVER EVER, and I repeat EVER pull those. Something about causing a tangent universe and the collapse of the primary universe in exactly 28 days, 6 hours 42 minutes 12 seconds.

And after 10 minutes of living inside the body of John Malkovich you drop out of the alternate universe and onto the NJ turnpike.

I guess if you pulled the back seats out you could put a chirstmas tree in there right! Oh but I guess the seat backs are in there pretty good
