muffller related problem

Good morning everyone. Yesterday, I looked underneath my car to check see if everything is in tack because as you folks know we here in the Northeast had a terrible snow storm last week. My car got stuck in the snow and ice and in the process of getting it out, I scrape the bottom of the car. I noticed that there's a piece of wire connecting from the muffler to another part of the underbody of the car. This piece somehow got ripped off. Do I need to go and get this fix? I found a picture of this on the site. Attached is what i'm talking about. I've marked the area with a black circle.

thanks guys

It's a ground wire, not a big deal. You can fix it yourself. Make a wire like it, and attached both ends. If you can save the old ground, just reattach.

The old wire got ripped in half. I guess i'm gonna call the dealership and take the car there to get the underbody check to see if anything loose or falling off. Anyhow, what's the purpose of that wire anyway lowrider? Thanks for the quick reply.

I asked the same question a few weeks back with no response. You can get a replacement ground wire for about 8-9 bucks at the dealer. Mine has been broken for 4 months now and it seems to drive fine.
