aftermarket alarm people

Where did you put your blue led light? I just got a viper 5900 and I told them to make it like factory, since they couldnt change out the stock red led light because that does other things besides just alarm. I told them to hide it under the dash so it really wasnt that visible. Was this a good idea? I didnt want a red and blue light flashing in the car. Like I said wanted it stock but good alarm/starter.

he said you cant take that factory alarm thing out, it is tied in with the service things and so on. I dont know what he said, but it seemed like he knew. I orginally wanted that blue led where the stock red led was.

I took my stock light out when I did my remote start ~14 months ago. No problems.

Well he is wrong. I have a bright blue led in my car. If he cant figure that out I def. wouldnt have him install your alarm.

I have the clifford matrix alarm that has 2 aux inputs, remote start, an the 2 way alarm. Everything was $400 installed

I actually like the look of my BLUE led alarm light being visible...it's near the mirror adjustment switch & is visible from the drivers side, outside the car. The flashing blue light w/ my color car & tint looks awesome IMO...and the red doesn't take away from it at all. In fact, I like the idea that if someone see's my car, they know there are two alarms on it! I'd move the location of your light pronto....as that's really what I think they're for.....deterring thieves & also so you know when your car is armed. I've gotten many a compliments on the blue light.

I got a Python in October of 2005 (after my headlights were stolen!!). I have the Python LED (mine is red) near the mirror control and I agree with jimmyc13 that it acts a deterrent because a thief can see the car is armed. There is a decal on each front door window. I also had the Python blinking blue decal-light installed on the front window to more fully inform potential thieves. I still have the stock red LED blinking too.
