So I have a sub-standard G?

Full size spare is part of an optional package

ummm no... well at least not the 03 coupes.. mine has this ugle donut where the metal sticks out way more than the rubber to clear the brembo.. you guys got sedans huh.. that might be why.. you have the trunk space for it.

o ya.. my G is fully loaded too.

Full size spare came with premium package C. People with sports package won't have a full size spare because you couldn't get premium C with sports package.

You might have premium package A and/or B. Premium C had the full size spare and wood trim (not sure if there was anything else) if I recall correctly.

My full size spare came with one of the option packages and I wanted the full size, even though it reduces the trunk room by raising the floor a bit. There is some storage room in the wheel for seldom used items (like marker lights for when you have to change the wheel). The one disadvantage is that it mounts with the valve down so it is very hard to check the pressure in it.

I wanted the full-size spare because I did not want to get stuck in a rural area far from home with a fatally damaged tire and have to use a limited-use donut to get home (or to the nearest shop that would have the tire I needed).

Note also, that the full-size or donut spare tire's pressure is not monitored by the tire pressure system.

I don't know if any of the earlier 6MT's came with a full size spare. Mine didn't. The good part of that is you can get the 12" 4080 box if you don't.

Full size spare comes with Premium C, I know cause I have the premium c package. The wood trim is not part of premium c, it's a separate option though.
