Bent Rim!

I had a tire that was consistantly losing air pressure. It was time to replace them so I got some new goodyears (the ones with the carbon fibre in the sidewalls...love them!) and the tire still kept going down. When I went for an oil change and an inspection the told me the rim was bent so bad It would need to be replaced to pass inspection. I would have to get a new rim and they quoted me $785!!!!

I am suprised it is so bad. I never noticed any noise or vibration back through the chassis or steering wheel.

Thankfully I have the full size spare and they are just going to switch them out. I will need to do something for the spare though. Does anyone know where I can get it repaired and how much that will cost? Or should I just get a new wheel from ebay or something?

thanks for the advice...

I never knew they check rims when you get an inspection. Check ebay or PM Jason@Riverside infiniti

yeah I did not think it was part of the inspection either. I did ask them to check it because of the tire consistly losing pressure, but he said it would not pass inspection.

but I think your right.
