I've posted this before, still don't understand how to remove the map light trim. I have the service manual which shows two clips at the rear side of the trim. I have tried to insert putty knives in to depress the clips with no success. I'm worried about damaging the headliner.

Is there a trick to this removal?

There are metal rings on some of the housing standoffs that line up to holes in the headliner. I think dropping the headliner down at the moon roof is the only way to get the clips off cleanly.

 

are you trying to remove the headliner?

if so - i removed the blinds and their mounts first. I removed the run-rubber from the sun roof and just yanked (also removed the oh-**** handles )

 

I just pulled the visor clips and then pulled down on it.

 

Hi Guys. Does anyone have pictures? Sorry, I am not car savvy and don't know what "blinds", "run-rubber" and some other terms mean. I am trying to remove my map light/glass holder as well.

2007, what u talking about, im asking the size of the bulbs. i got an 04 sedan
