Help plz with Paint on Rolled Fender

Okay so I rolled my fenders earlier with a fender roller. Everything was good but I think I rushed the last one and didnt let it heat up enough. So the paint chipped but on the inside. You cant see it yet from the outside but if it keeps chipping you will............

What should I do???.....should I try to sand it down and prime it with that touch up paint from autozone????...........

Try the touch up paint and cross your fingers.

I did the same thing, here were the options as I saw them:

1. Do nothing,
2. Lightly sand the flaking/chipped area and the use touch up paint (My chips were too big so this was not a good option for me),
3. Tape off the outside fender then sand and paint the lip,
4. Take it to a body shop and just have them fix the paint.

I finally decided on option 4 and it cost me $225. If your chips are small, try to use some touch up paint and see what happens.

I would try touch up paint first if its not bad.

But for anyone else who sees this thread and wants to roll their fenders, I used a multipurpose high temp lubricant on the roller head and fender. The lube took some of the stress off the paint during the rolling process, of course heating and patience does help. Just thought I would share so others are not discouraged from rollin the fenders.

the paint on the inside of my fender has been chipped since the first day it was done (almost a year ago), It's never made it to the outside paint (knock on wood) I put some touch up paint on it so it wouldn't rust but other than that you dont have anything to worry about.

Ya the other side looks real god but I held the heat gun on it for 10 minutes before rolling.....On this one, I was sorta rushing it and I didnt notice any cracks.......When I got home and showed the wifey she was like, , and I was like ......

I just got back from AutoZone, I bought 1000grit sand paper, primer, and a white touch up paint similar to mine....I also got all the tape, and other little things Im going to need....
Hopefullly I can just prime it, So I can go throw on my wheels....

And I did think about just taking it to a shop but I am hoping I can fix it myself. If it gets worst i will take it in though......

Take some pictures of the damage and some after you fix it.

Good luck!

I think the light sanding and touch-up paint is where I would start too.

I took about an hour on each side to roll my rears to make sure they didn't crack. Everyone else please learn from his mistake and take your time!

I rushed the other side and didnt think anything of it, It didnt crack until I got home, about a 15minute drive.....

i already patched it up but I wouldnt want to post it, its only primered right now.....But maybe later, Ima take some pix today...

Yes just keep the paint nice and warm. Don't keep the gun in one place for too long since it can also hurt the paint but warm it before and re-warm as you are going.
