my plastic tray doesnt get scraped - because the roads are so bumpy and because it gets removed so often, the plastic around its bolts and fasteners have began to come loose. a metal one would not have this issue
whats the undertray used for though? wouldnt it be used to deflect wind turbulence under the car @ high speeds? debris flying up getting caught between belts? eh' i guess i just answered it myself -

$550 for an aluminum underbody tray??? I'd rather put that kind of money towards some other mod.
I have to admit that it sure looks good, but unless your car is up on a lift (or you run over someone
) not many people are going to see this mod.

id pay that kinda money for the underbody tray if i was big on showing my car and had mirrors under it. otherthan that i ****ing love it, its sexy as hell. but for that kind of money i can get a plenum spacer or just a new plenum. but damn, im tempted to make the aluminum underbody tray myself cuz my plastic one is fugly!
