mounting tape

does anyone know how to remove mounting tape?

Usually warming the surface gently with a hairdryer helps. The remainder can be rubbed off with your finger and residue can be removed with 'Goo Gone' or even WD 40.

The WD 40 should be safe. I've heard that others use Goo Gone. If you use the hairdryer, warm GENTLY and evenly around the area. Remember to clean after with car wash soap and wax ASAP.
