One of my vehicles has gone over 100,000 miles with no oil change at all, just oil filter changes. Laboratory oil analysis proves the oil to be in fine shape and suitable for continued use.

would Infiniti warranty an engine failure on a motor that has significantly increased intervals using a non-recommended lubricant?
the manual states that synthetic oil is not recommended for these engines, instead to follow the factory-prescribed maint. schedule using a high quality mineral-based oil. would the "2007" theory you propose stand up to Infinti vetting?
btw - 100,000 miles on the same oil? that's amazing!
