FX stealing G's???

I am seeing where a bunch of G owners are buying FX's. Anybody hear thinking the same thing? I wonder how bad the G sedan sales numbers are going to be hurt by the FX35?

Re: FX stealing G's???

I think it would be better for the sedan owners becase then not many of thosse cars be seen on the streets. I dont really want to see this car turn into the next 3 becasue then it will loose some of its unquiness.

i actually like the FX.. a lot of the same benefits as the G, but you get more utility from more space.. but i've done the SUV thing already.. i think i'll stick to the smaller car for a while, at least.

I'm glad that Infiniti is pushing the edge on design. I think that Infiniti is making the bar higher and it's going to make the auto industry more appealing. I wouldn't mind having the FX parked next to the G.

I would've bought an FX if I could afford one...but the G is good too.

Re: FX stealing G's???

A guy at my office complex just bought a FX.... i'm not crazy about its looks, but given time the looks might grow on me... One thing I did notice, for a $40,000 SUV, the ride is a little on the harsh side, but it does handle pretty good... guess they had to make a trade off...

Different market segments I think. When I bought this car I looked at other cars in its class not at other classes. You decide to buy a sedan or a SUV before you start comparing head to head vehicles.

Re: FX stealing G's???

true..
but the crossovers are offering kind of the best of both worlds, so i find them hard not to notice..
i didn't give much thought to crossovers before, but i'll keep an eye on them and see where they go for the future..
for a moment, i considered the matrix.. but it was all over once i actually test drove the G.

Re: FX stealing G's???

please. lets not compare the g35 with the fx35 or the fx45. i dont care how bad the sales of the g35 go with the fx45. ladies and gentlemen....remember...after all is said and done. those with g35 must cherish the one geniunity. WE ARE ALL DRIVING THE LEGENDARY SKYLINE! the car that helped put japanese performance on the map and with an exclamation point. and the thrill is yet to come...through NISMO and other companies...to see for ourselves and show the naive world...what our cars are capable of! behold and enjoy the g35 and save up to make it into what its true inner potential allows. to all the fx, 330ci, even m3, or the upcoming well talked about lexus is430 owners......beware! good luck!

Re: FX stealing G's???

hey, uh guys, the numbers are posted at www.nissannews.com
The sales of the fx35/45 is like 300 something units while the g35 remains 4000 combined (coupe/sedan). These are the sales figures for the month of january 2003. All sales figures are posted there. Its official too. And like said before, the fx is an suv, its exactly the same size as an acura MDX. I doubt it will hurt g35 sales at all.
