I am about to get my 60000 mile maintenance on my 04 G35 Sedan. This dealer is quoting me over 1500 dollars. Is it really worth spending this much on this maintenance?

I was thinking just the transmission flush, power steering flush, differential oil, etc should do it for now. Does anyone have any other suggestion. I also thought spark plugs will be good for upto 100 000 miles. Dealer recommends changing these as well.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks.

I would do those yourself, I know I did mine.

There is no way I would run 100k miles on the oem plugs but that is your choice.

Let me know what you ultimately end up doing, cause I'm at 58K right now and I don't see myself having the money for that 60K Maintenance check up. Thanks

60k Maintenance
I just had my '04 done today and it cost me $800. The cabin filter and fuel injection service was included. Original cost was 599.00. I think it'll be worth it.

$1500 is ridiculous. Do they really think people just have $1500 lying around for shi* like this?

damn this makes me feel so much better about my quote a few months ago I think it was like 500 dollars. Take it to a local mechanic and see the price they'll give you.

How much did you end up paying for the 60K mile service? And did you end up in changing any parts in which are not under warranty?
I'm about to reach 60K mile on my coupe.

I'm at 56K in m 04. I have 2 options. One, wait until I get to 60K. Two, do it in the next month BEFORE my trip to the mountains. Leaning toward the second option. Even $500 seems like a lot.

For me I got the car at almost 90k so I did the service at JiffyLube since my brother work there. I did a transmission flush, radiator flush, rear differental, fuel system cleaning, oil change, air filter, and spark plugs. Here are their prices
transmission -120
radiator-70
rear diff-50
fuel system-60
oil-40
spark plug-60 (bought this myself) everything else was free
I know people say this and that about jiffy lube but some of them are really honest and just wanna help you out.

Even at $500, just do it yourself. There isn't a thing on there that you can't do on a nice Saturday if you're moderately mechanically inclined.
