i told ya! now you just have to put some 3m tape along the bottom of the grille to hold it in place against the bumper and it'll look great.

Isn't your next step to get it painted?

I was going to, but it's growing on me black. I have so many black highlights (especially the tint) that it actually flows. Depending on my mood it looks like a goth chick with lipstick, but looks good as-is (armor-all'd up).

I am also dabbling with the idea of a carbon fiber hood, and it would look better black there as well.

So, I'm in no rush to paint it silver is my final whish/wash for today...

I would love to see a BS sedan with a carbon fiber hood. Let me know where you can find one for a good price.

Had a feeling you might keep it black. Can you share some picts of the full car?

Just cut off the bar in the back that was blocking it from being hooked to the bottom. I saw from the responses in the thread that that bar was only there for fabrication, so I just saw'd it off.

Thanks for the input fellow G's
When you cut the support, I take it the fiberglass is actually quite flexible? I've been debating about cutting the support on my 03 grill as it isn't perfectly flush. I pull on it, but because the support is there, it doesn't flex.

I ended up painting mine BS to match the car...was debating to paint it black since you can't leave it unfinished (looks bad IMO). Another color I was considering was to paint it dark gray to match my wheels (but don't have anything else gray on the car except the tinted sidemarkers).

But Black looks great.

yes, it's quite flexible. take a look at my before and after pics. after attaching it to the bottom i just pushed it to the holes in the top and connected it.

it isn't so flexible that it's flimsy though...you can tell it's unnecessary to have once you chop it.
