Painting '03 ground effects to match car, like 04+>>

I debated and debated over getting this done vs getting the aero kit. I had money in hand for the aero kit and after working my **** off to get it I realized I didn't want to spend it on the aero kit. So I put the car in the shop for paint. You're looking at about 400-500 bux for the job. I may put the money I saved towards coilovers or new wheels. Hope to have pix soon.

My color is silver... turns out they want way more that I was thinking (after basing it on the rest of the estimate they gave me)... so I am opting out for now...
Anyway, thanks for the help. One of these days I am just going to learn how to do this stuff myself and buy the right tools to do so.

Anyone notice that the 03 cars have significantly lighter gray sills? The 04s are about 3 shades darker and aren't near as nasty lookings.

yeah i got mine painted, the guy didnt do that great of a job, and i didnt inspect it that well.
mine was desert platinum, so color matching was tough but it looks pretty good. but its easily chippable and you can definitely feel the difference in texture and the lack of gloss.
but maybe thats just my individual experience.
but even with all the little problems, it still makes the car look SO MUCH BETTER!!!

it depends on the color of your car...mine was black black blends alot easier...so i went to a shop n the guy recommended that its going to chip n peel no matter what cuz its plastic...so instead he recommended getting metallic spray paint and wet sanding them lightly first....i masked off the car so i didnt hit the real paint...put about 3-4 coats on i dont remember...and then to get the shinny gloss appearance...spray on clear coat and on my black car it looked just like an 05.... any color besides black white or silver you might have a problem
