AGAIN: 2003 / No diplay Radio and A/C Control not responding
Hi, I known that it's a known issue and many topic talk about this issue but Now it's my turn to have the problem and I need help.
Let me explain my story.
I've bought my 03 Sedan used (and out of warranty since 2 month) the previous Owner (I have the receipt) have done a repair on the circuit board 4 month ago
Parts : 28041 AMS13 @ 49.99$ and 194$ of labord (not seem to be the ''expensive board @ 500$ that every one talk about?!?!?!)
Now since about 1 month the problem seem to come back, I lose display and AC control.
I've ask my local dealer (different from the previous owner) and he told me that's the radio. I ask him how he can be so sure about that, He told me that the circuit board have been changed so that mean the radio is the problem.
and now request me a 275$ for a Exchange unit (probably refurbished?!?)
But I'm not sure about that, because ac control start act crazy even is the radio is power off.(was working 3-4 minute ago)
But my dealer keep saying that the radio causing this.
Anyway, The previous dealer is located at about 1 hour of car from my home and I'm not very interested to lose all my day to get a 49.99$ board replaced, and my dealer don't want to do the job because it say that I need to go back to the first dealer. And continue to tell me that the radio need to be replaced (probably he want my 275$)
Now what Can I do with this case, Do I change again the board and prepare to change it again in 4 month? or change the radio and hope that will solve the problem. Or Call Nissan Canada and ask to be refunded for the previous repair since it didn't solve my trouble.
If I go back to the previous dealer, the time I lose is more then the cost of the board, And I'm pretty sure He will not accept to ship me another one.
So, I need advise here, What exactly do I need to do to get this cheap radio work.
''No DIN conversion please(Will cost me more then stay stock)''
Thanks!

my dealer replaced my board but they said if that dosnt solve the problem, they will just put the old one back and refund. but they are correct, its either the board or the radio itself. you probably got the board discounted because infiniti is replacing the boards at a fraction of the actual cost due to the reliablilty issues that many people had with it (only applies to certain VIN ranges)
