Hi all,
Took my G to oil change today. The car has 20k miles now and the service consultant said I need power steering flush and throttle service. The only thing that was ever done to the car since I've had it is just oil change, air filter, cabin filter, etc. He said my power steering fluid are BLACK and needs to do it at 15k and that doing the throttle service helps smoothing out the engine etc. Is he telling me the truth? Is it necessary? The service is around $120 for p/s flush and $146 for throttle service. What does throttle service involves?
Thanks...

I think so too. I just checked the p/s fluid. It's purple from the outside container. When I opened the cap it was crystal clear. Oh man...they are so full of crap.Originally Posted by SilverII

All the TB service entails is they clean it which can be done in about 30 minutes start to finish with a rag and a can of TB cleaner. Pull the intake tube off and there are only 4 bolts to take off the TB. You don’t even have to take it off if you don’t want.
