R1 Concepts: Cross-Drilled / Slotted Rotors!

Based on visual inspection, the quality is decent! I'll compare them to the stock rotors once I have them off. Only thing I find a little strange is on the back of the bottom two rotors, near the hub, it's not all silver and shiny ... it's a little black, almost charred looking.

Hawk HPS pads coming early next week.

I have the r1 concept premium rotors mines are darker than yours the area you describe is black on mines as well...

 

How much did thoses set you back.. Are they the same size as stock?

 

I think mines are the same size as stock but they are lighter weight. I think I paid just ove 400 for mines on eBay but there was a group buy that had them for less.

Because he probably paid less than $400 for all four rotors and pads.

I wonder if you can paint the center, where the bolts go through, with caliper paint to help prevent rust.

 

Looks over function sounds more like it , they do look cool and good price !

 

R1 gave me a good deal on these things.

But here's a picture of what I'm talking about:


If you compare the one on the RIGHT to the one of the LEFT, you can see that there's a lot more "dirt" or whatever that black ring of 'crap' is. Not where the hub is ... but one ring up.

Is it corrosion? or is this fine?
