steering wheel upgrade?

has anyone gotten a OEM fitment steering wheel that has thicker leather?

my wheel is getting old, but wanna switch to a better wheel thats thicker.
does the newer 07 wheel fit 03-05?

or does anyone make a wheel like those brabus/techart ones for the G35?? i'm talking about those with contour grip but using the stock airbag.

I wish there was an "Infiniti" name version! That was the only thing holding me back.

The only thing about the JDM Momo wheels with the airbag is the airbag connection itself. I am not 100% sure about the Momo wheels, but the standard JDM wheels/airbags use 1 airbag connector, while the USDM uses 2. Like I said, not sure about the Momo wheels, but I've had a couple of JDM airbag units and know for sure they don't plug into the USDM cars - it would be sweet if it works though, those wheels are nice.

i've felt the momo one, its still too thin for my preference...

i wonder if someone can just re-wrap my wheel with thicker padding.

I think my airbag only has one plug. It has been over a year since I had it off so I could be wrong.

There are a few guys on My350Z who have those wheels.

I would imagine so, and for much cheaper than a $700 new wheel and airbag. Call a local custom auto shop that does interiors, they could point you in the right direction at least.

I think I remember 2 plugs on the airbag, one yellow and one orange plug.

Although not as nice, you can get a wheelskins steering wheel cover and wrap it yourself. It will make it thicker and still use your existing steering wheel controls, airbag and all. They're about $55 on the Wheelskins site.
http://www.wheelskins.com/index.php

Here are examples on their site.
