I have a '05 sedan with the factory installed spoiler. Ive noticed that the right side of the spoiler is loose where it bolts to the trunk lid. I can actually move the spoiler up and down a small amount on the right side, but the left side is tight. I would like to avoid taking it to the dealer because im sure its 2 nuts or bolts holding it in that just need to be tightened down. I cant seem to find any access holes to the fasteners. Has anyone installed an OEM spoiler or have had this problem before? I just downloaded the FSM and its not too helpful with spoiler removal/installation. Do I need to remove something on the underside of the trunk lid to get to the spoiler fasterners? Thanks!

 

open your trunk and look directly right under it. I believe mine (04) is held by 1 (10mm) bolt on each side and the rest is all 3m double sided tape.

 

The mounting bolts for the spoiler may be hidden underneath the trunk lining which are held by several plastic clips. You'd need to use a flathead driver to pop the clips off and get to the mounting bolts.
