05/06 g35x questions..

i might buy a used 06 g35x. i just have couple of questions..

1. does the 06 g35x has a different style body(front/rear bumper/side) than the 06 6spd g35(rwd)?

2. do they make springs and shocks for the X? camber kit?

3. is it difficult to lower the X without any problems since its 4wd?

4. anything i should look for before buying the X? any recalls? what are the cons for the X?

5. what kind of gas mileage do you guys get for the X?

6. does the X come with a moonroof/sunroof standard?
what about the bose system standard?
or is these options?

7. what type of key does the X have?(key and remote, switchblade key, or intellegent key)
thank you...

For tech ifo use the search feature
1- same body stlye as the rwd
2-no aftermarket springs and shocks available for the X. You can lower using any G35 springs or Z springs. You can use rear shocks from the regular G .
3-no problems lowering the X, just a little harder
4-
5-bad gas mileage but I think it's worth it
6-I think sunroof is standard, bose is an option
7-key and remote

I'm going to skip 1-3 because I have no knowledge of that stuff.

4. IMO, the gas mileage is the worst part of the car.
5. It gets about 23-24 mpg for me (i'm mostly on the highway and drive pretty conservatively)
6. the moonroof is a standard feature. bose comes with the premium package
7. it's a standard key & fob if you go with the based model but it comes with the intelligent key if you upgrade to the premium package

1. 06 has larger brakes and bluetooth available
2. On my 05 I get 17-19 city and 22-23 highway (I average 75-80 on the highway )

My '04 x avg about 20-21 mpg, mostly all highway driving. In the city, I'll be lucky to get 15-16 mpg. In fact, I went through 1/2 a tank and did 100 miles in city driving.

RWD gets better gas milege

front bumper is different on the 05 G35x than the 05 G35 RWD but the RWD bumper bolts up fine

the only issues with the g35x are with front shocks and front sway bars. everything else seems to fit just fine...oh wait, with the exception of exhausts. only the Stillen 2nd gen is the only cat back that fits

you can turn off AWD if you get bored

all camber and caster kits fit the X just fine. I have SPC front and rear camber and toe kits and a cusco rear trailing arm

i get 15 mpg combined...but than again I have crawford plenum + HF cats + alot of other crap

Does pulling the fuse have any negative effects? What does pulling the fuse actually turn off power to to cause the car to be RWD?

is it that easy making the X a rwd car? just pull the fuse?

will that improve the gas mileage?

I would assume no since instead of the front drive components propelling the vehicle, they are now excess drag on the driveline.

Milage would be worse than a normal RWD car.
