Lightbulb Air Filter Change

Hi,
I'm new to the forum. Was wondering if someone can tell me if there is step by step guide to changing the air filter on an '06 G35 sedan (with sport package if that makes a difference)? I did a changeout recently, but it was quite difficult--like pulling teeth to get everything apart and then back together again. Must be an easier way.
Also, any recommendations for replacement filters? I think I replaced with a Purolator something or other.
Thanks!

K&N Filter, took me minutes. Remove 4 snap-on clips, and loosen Z tube (if you have one or just pipe), remove filter and dropped in the K&N easily after lubing it all the way around.

There is a 10mm bolt near the fender that needs to be taken off and then open all the clips around the air box (4 clips). I am using a Amsoil drop in filter. The amsoil is a dry filter and has no oil to mess with like the K&N. Both are good filters.

Thanks. I did remove that 10mm bolt (the one on the bracket sticking out from the well), but it was still an unusually tight job. Guess I'm just getting old and don't like being hunched over for extended periods.

Well, if the 06 is as bad as the 03-04, it's definitely a bitch of a job to replace. After futzing around for way too long, pushing and pulling on everything with no luck, I ended up removing the MAF sensor housing - carefully. This alone is a pain, but it gives you all the room you need to back out the air filter housing.
