Re: Rumble in Forum

My apologies. I didn't mean to make this site look like a Honda forum!

Re: Rumble in Forum

he's not the only one to have that same exact problem on the TL, seems like it was a semi-common problem with that car

Re: Rumble in Forum

I sent a pm to Rumble, and he'll tell you..... don't get me started on my Acura tranny stories...it's never-ending.

But hey, that's why I now have a G!

Time to let Acura fade like a bad memory.........

Repeat after me..."This is not a Honda thread....this is not a Honda thread...."

Re: Rumble in Forum

I test drove a TL-S during my research phase. The interior felt like an Accord with some cheap leather slapped on the uncomfortable seats, and it's 260 horses were, in a word, uninspiring.

I'm glad I didn't like it. I would have been pissed to buy that much car and have drivetrain problems. Wife had a 94 Taurus, been there, done that.

Is it amazing how these old threads can suddenly be resurrected. Must be the power of the G, lights up everything around it.

Overall, they're not bad cars. I've had two Accords. The old 86 LX-i 5-speed was a blast, and very reliable.

Re: Rumble in Forum

My '86 LX-i 5sp hatchback got up to 290k miles before I figured it was more expensive to fix the parts on the car that were deteriorating than to keep the car. Engine was still going strong but had to fix the cv joints, water pump, oil pump, muffler, master cyclinder, timing belt, cam seals, etc... before it would run normally. So better to just get a new car. Hopefully my G will be the same way.
