My Big Elbows wore out my Door Armrest...

I usually drive with my left hand and keep my elbow on the armrest on the door. Well after 3 years of owning the car, the armrest is worn out, hard, dented, and uncomfortable. I asked the dealer how much it would be to replace, and they have to replace the whole door panel for $500 (Not covered under warenty )

Has anyone else had this problem? Any alternate solutions?

It takes all of 5 minutes to remove the door panel.

Take both sides to an upholstery shop and them moded out to your taste. I bet it would be less than 500 and you would get a nice new look.

Yup...check out your local upholstery shop. They can do amazing things for really cheap.
