When is a good time to change the air filter?
I got now 22k so I am thinking I should maybe increase gas milage a little?
The basic filters available are pretty cheap anyway around $8.
What do you guys say.

I heard about that the Ventilation air filter needs to be changed periodically, anyone done that yet and where can you get it from besides the dealer.
Thanks

Re: Air filter question
Take a look at the K&N airfilter replacement. It fits right into the stock filter box and you'll never have to buy a new filter again. You can get them for around $50.00 from any auto parts store. Plus K&N claims it will increase your horsepower a little bit.

As for the cabin air filter. The removal and replacement is also pretty easy. It took me around 15 mins the first time. I believe that the owners manual shows replacing the CAF every 10K miles. I got mine from Grubbs Infiniti. The cost was like $25.00. The guys at Grubbs are great. I always talk or email Carvey Parker at Grubbs. His email address is cparker@grubbs.com. To visit their web site go to www.infiniti.wholesaleparts.com.

Good luck

Re: Air filter question
IMO the good thing about the K&N is that is lasts forever, just needs to be "recharged", so that's a consideration, I never noticed any increased power or mileage increase with it in my Mustang though!
