Unhappy Dealer-mma.

My freaking CD changer is broke, error reads "Check disk". I try using a CD cleaner, but no luck. Extended Warranty thru some party "Guardian Warranty" is practically useless, they won't cover the Radio. I'm trying to see if I can cancel it and get Infiniti extended warranty, milleage right now is 64k.
Dealer says it will cost 400+ for new head w/o Ext Warranty.
But I made the mistake of buying an 04 instead of an 05 with MP3 playback. I hate burning CDs period, but I definitely hate not having enough music on one CD. SO WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS? I am buying an Ipod Touch by the end of the Month so I was thinking about doing something with that. I must also admit that I hate the Cassette adapter thingy, plus sound quality suffers.
Please someone out there must feel my pain and knows how to remedy this situation. All suggestions, other than to simply get rid of it, are highly welcomed. Thanks, and i appreciate you taking the time to post something.

Or

Factory unit on ebay is much less, wire your ipod and you're back in business for way less.

refi with a credit union. purchase the MBI(mechanical breakdown ins./mbp/mrc/watevers-u get the id) and make sure that policy covers radio and other stuff.

If you dont want to use the tape adapter, you can get a PAC NIS (aux input) and plug your ipod into that. It's a pretty clean set up and really easy to put in. You can also do a double din, but you'll end up spending a lot for a new DD kit and a DD radio.
