TPS question

hey everyone,
i have an 04 sedan that came with 20's from the dealer i bought it from.
my TPS light is lit, and my friend who has an 05 coupe with te37's said that the car should recognize it and should just turn off.
is there any way i can have this turned off?
yeaaa, i can go to the dealer but they start charging once i drive into the service dept area

anyone?

my understanding is that this light can not be by passed. The light should go off every time you restart the car; the light will come back on after you have driven 30-40 miles.

There is no real solution unless you buy some new TPS for the car.
