Rims

I have a 2005 G35 sedan, and my size rims ar 17x7 inches. I want to get other rims that are 17x7.5 inches. Would the extra .5 inches make a difference resulting in getting different/new tires?

go ahead and get the wheels. The 1/2" wont make a difference in any way.
