I used to troll around in the forums on Zdriver and Zcar.com as Scott83ZX, and recognize a couple names here.

At any rate, I actually do have a question.. My headlights are dingy, as I have seen on many of the G's, and one is actually slightly cracked. I am looking at replacing them with some new ones, and want to make sure I get the right thing.. I found these on ebay:

In looking through some previous threads, I noticed that ppl were talking about HID vs non? I though they all had HID (?) In either case, mine does, so will these fit the bill? Are they cheap and undesirable? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thx!

 

I don't think these are the OEM headlights that come on the g. I got an 03 sedan myself and I think these are the JDM rip off ones. Notice the black housing inside. They seem legit but not too sure. I would ask the seller if these are the real OEM headlights. Plus, the 03's had the option of getting HID's. So if you headlights are the same color as your fogs (the ugly yellow) then you have the standard halogen bulbs. However, if your headlights are more white than the fogs, then you got yourself some HID's. I think these are the Halogen versions. Sorry for my not so sure answer, but just giving you what I think they are. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

 

Thx - Yeah, I didn't think they were OEM necessarily - and I actually like the black housing (was thinking of doing that myself). I thankfully do have the HID's - so I guess the only remaining question is if anyone has installed these, and what their impressions are?

 

yeah, i realized you had HID's after I responded. The black housing is a nice touch and want to do it myself so, if these are the real deal, then grab them. But it seems a little sketchy to me about how cheap they are. Not even one goes for that price usually.

The only thing I am worried about with things like this is water. If they are not OEM, they could have a problem with water issues, aka condensation and fogging inside the light. I've seen it before and looks awful. However, theres only one way to be certain and that is to get them and see for yourself
