my concern is rigid characteristics of fiber... it's not very forgiving... I'm cautious over speed bumps - but don’t want to worry about repairing fiberglass often from mishaps... Poly is much more flexible right?

Please tell me my over-concern about fiberglass isn’t warranted... maybe it's not going to be as delicate as I'm thinking...

I think most would be willing to pay $600-650 or so for a poly one.

Is it possible? Can we at least ask.

That is mine too. Even with a custom clear bra like I will make it still can crack from large rock chips or steep driveways. Poly is the way to go 1000% and well worth the extra cost.

I think the current one should be set in stone and made in poly. I would rather have it with filled in sidemarkers but would still buy one with them over a fiberglass any day.

For some reason I had been thinking it was poly. I feel stupid now (as I've told people it's poly). It's still a sick bumper. It just means I have to be careful, which I have been so far. Now you guys have me thinking twice about lowering it. Hmm, looks like I should get some bags

I'm more worried about a rock or debris on the highway cracking it. The speed bump / driveway stuff I can deal with.

Either way it won't take another raccoon.

Lowered or not, you hit a raccoon, fox or deer, it's going to leave a mark.

That is with anything though. Not just glass.

+2

My last one was poly and it was trashed with the raccoon. But I would sure like to have my next one be poly too. It did so well under all the other conditions.

~maybe Viet will reconsider?... I understand the cost component to prototyping this bumper... I think in the long run the cost benefit is worth it... we'll see...

BTW, it was nice meeting you last night Tim! Great car - it will look hawt with this bumper... I'll let you know next time I'm in Phoenix (probably sometime first quarter of 08)... And visa-versa, tell me when you're in LB again (we don’t have $8 pictures of beer for $17 though )

I've seen those Greddy sedan bumpers before, I think I have some pictures of a blue one from Pleasanton HIN.
