Need some advice on tires for an '05 G sedan.. Ok, my neighbor is thinking about running 285 x 20s in the rear and sometime in the near future he wants to lower the car, what problems would he encounter?
My advice to him is, get the 275 for the rear and if he does decide to lower the car he won't have as many issues as if he got the 285.. Thanks in advance!

 

He'd have to run a 30 series tire. IF a 285 would fit at all

I have 275/30/ 20 and I had to roll my fenders, also have s tech springs

 

It would depend on the offset of the wheels. With the right setup a 285 should fit fine.

 

What the rim width ?

 

if you got a 20x9.5 +45 a 285 would fit with a fender roll and running some added negative camber. Same thing for a 20x10 +45 to +50
