Question Wipers

Has anyone had problems outa there wipers? I just put new ones on like 2 months ago and the other day it was raining like a **** and my wipers were skipping across the windshield. Both sides. I cant remember what brand of wipers I bought but they werent the cheap ones. I think it may be the blades but im not sure. It was misting yesterday and I had them on delay and they worked fine.

Some people had to bring it in to change the wiper arm. I believe there's a bulletin on it if not for the coupe.

I brought it in and dealer said they couldn't duplicate issue which is totally BS. I've tried many wipers and it's the same skipping/chattering issue.

My final solution...got PIAA super silicone wiper blade. They are not cheap. Around $20 each side. But they glide and leave a layer of silicone or whatever it is and it beads the water just like rain x except the wiper itself leaves that trace of slick materials so you don't need to ever apply rain x.

I've had the wipers for probably a year now or more and it still works wonder. When it's mist or very light rain I still don't see the 100% smooth glide around the windshield but it's close enough and I don't hear the chattering noise anymore although I do see a little chattering when the wipers move.

Mine did that over 90mph but then I bought Bosch and they do not do that no more.
But I don't really like them cuz I had them for about 4 months and I see lines on the windshield after them. They don't get all the water off the glass. Already worn out. GAY.

Yeah, wiper chatter is a common annoyance. Dealers are usually too clueless to know what to do except say to change your wipers. I tried a few and finally ended up with the Bosch Icons. A slight chatter may be there but I only notice if I specifically look for it and stare at the wiper (yes, it's very minimal and insignificant now). Not like before where it would be so noisy and annoying that it would distract me from everything. I'm satisfied.

All the chattering on the windsheild is due to two reasons, 1. Old blades 2. windsheild not smooth. There is a fix for both, new refills for the old blade, and wax your windsheild to fix the not smooth problems. Though it may feel smooth to you it really isn't. Rain-x doest make something called windsheild wax, use it. In addition to that, a little, real little car wax won't hurt it contrary to popular belief that it makes glass crack.

Bosch ICON blades are fantastic. I've used PIAA's, they are not bad either. But the ICONS never lift, even at 90mph. Also, if you have cold weather where you are, the ICONS work better with less freezing up issues.
