I have to pull the console off and see how it can be done. My rear passengers always complain in the summer. I usually get frostbites by the time they start feeling the AC.

isn't the current duct work in the 6MT console for the footwell heaters?

I'd love to have rear A/C for my passengers/child!

When I was shopping for my '04 6MT (late 2003), I was told there were no A/C vents in the rear of a 6MT's console because #1) the e-brake cable and linkage are in the way and #2) The shift linkage takes up any available space remaining in the center "hump".

In fact, the salesmen kept trying to talk me into taking a 5AT (6MT Sedans were really rare still then, no dealer had any in inventory - had to order it) because the 6MT had no A/C vents in the console, and also no cupholders (same reasons as above). As if anyone serious about getting a 6MT would let something as silly as cupholders and A/C vents deter them??!!

Anyway, when my '04 came, it DID have the funky cupholders in the back of the console inside the storage area (hard to reach, and NEVER use them), but no A/C vents in console....

I'm not sure. It was just under the stereo and looked like it was made to attach to what would be there on a 5AT with the vents. We would have to open it back up and look. I'm sure there would be a way to make some room.

it shouldn't be that difficult, just do a tranny swap from 6mt to 5at, get the 5at premium console and e-brake, the ducts and ur all set, piece of cake

Who? People like me, who are in their right mind, but simply enjoy the act of driving, being constantly and intimately involved in the entire driving process and experience. I enjoy it, and it's exhilarating.

"What's wrong with automatic transmissions in sport sedans?", they asked.

"Nothing", I replied, "and whats wrong with wine coolers?" Same answer: "Nothing - lots of girls like them"

LOL

I have an AT as well, the wife is learning how to drive and it is our only car, so I had to. I miss having an MT, though. I hate them during rush hour traffic, but I would rather have one.

If I had to drive in rush hour traffic all the time I would have a 5AT for sure!

Wow, ttrank your advice to nearly everyone to use the search feature is sound. Eureka! It really does work

Just wondering if anyone ever did this. Memphis summers are terribly hot and humid.

By the way if I did heavy rush hour, I would definitely have an auto as well.

My car doesnt have the air vents either. Just discovered that the other day. My friend was like "Turn up the air back here!" and im like "Just flick the little switch on the airvents right here" *reaches back and feels for the vents* Friend says "There arent any." I go: "WTF! THE OLD ONE HAD THEM!"

Then i went ape **** on my car. I HATE not having the premium package.
