Mine are at least that close. When my friend at discount tire balanced them he knew they would be close so he put the weight along the edge between the spokes. Once they were on we saw if he would have put them inside they would hit the caliper.

Rotora told me the 12pot is a little over 3mm taller than the 8pot.

They clear the oem Ray's 19's! Only by a couple mm but do clear. I'm going to put my set on to break in the rotors and pads so I'll take some pics.
Do the rear calipers clear the factory 19" Rays as well?

You may need to go to a 20 inch cast rim to fit over the 8 piston calipers and 15 inch rotors. These are 20 inch Axis rims on Chucky's car.

Here is a comparison of the Rotora 6 piston calipers and the 12 piston calipers.

Ron's (roncfpz) 20 inch forged Cor rims have a dime's thickness clearance to his 12/4 piston 15 inch rotor combo.

Yes, the rear has plenty of room. I only have the 14" 4-pot rear but the 15" 4-pot would clear fine.

I agree, total overkill and they looking amazing. It's all about what you want. For the track, these would probably be ideal (maybe still a bit overkill) assuming you're using the right pad. On the street, braking performance is probably a bit worse overall because there's so much mass and it would take a bit of heat to get the pads to bite hard. The OEM brakes are excellent for 70 to 0 braking and the big brake kits are great for extended braking use and 140mph+ to 70mph braking like you'd see on a road course.

These are not the ideal track kit. The ideal track kits are the 13/13 or 14/13 with good calipers and pads around. I highly doubt any normal track driver could overheat those. Mine are still overkill and weigh more.

As for street driving, I had fade problems with my oem brakes and even with oem size rotors and better pads. The RacingBrake kit I had was great and never had any fade. I think the new Rotora have so much contact area and cooling they will still out brake most other kits with similar pads. They sure feel like it. I am yet to use more than 10-15% of my pedal.

Another thing you guys might want to know about this kit.

The hats are thicker than my other brakes so they push the wheels out a little. One of my rears is rubbing a tiny bit now. I only have -0.5 degrees of camber so adding a little more back in should fix the problem.

No one told me about that so I wanted to share.

Those wheels on that Z are hot. I cant seem to find out anything about them.
Google comes up with a bunch of crap if I type in Cor or Corr rims or wheels.

Here are some better shots of them on the car.

The front end will be painted in the next couple weeks.

Nice shots, Tim. Get someone to take a rolling shot of you so the spokes become a blur. The red calipers will really stand out.

I have wanted rolling shots of my car forever. As soon as the front end is painted I'm going to get some.
