Summer Chrome and Winter Black, (pics of mods and painted wheels)

I have two grilles and two sets of wheels now. My stock grille and chrome wheels are for summer and my black grille and black painted wheels are winters. I just put Goodyear F1 All seasons on the 17" black stock wheels, 235/50/17. Also recently got 45% tint all around, done by a shop that uses a cad based cutout system so there are no gaps at the edge of the glass.

I ended up having a body shop paint my wheels. When I did it I wasnt happy.

Chrome/Summer mode: (older pictures, no tint or stillen exhaust)

Black/Winter mode:

These last few pics are not all that great, they don't show off how glossy these are. The paint ended up so flat.. its amazing. Its gloss black with clear. They shine more than anything else on my car.

and before you say it... no i will not drop it... i drive this thing in nasty winter conditions sometimes and I dont want to mess with how it rides. I like 17" rims and i think the suspension feels great as is. 19"+ rims are not my thing.

Those 17's look 1000s better in black. I had a set (previously Vodkarockets) for a while as well. When painted black, they actually give the illusion of being bigger than 17".

I loved the look so much, I winded up powder coating my 18's a satin matte black.

2 looks, one car, love it

one more shot, a bit better view of the wheel and its paint.

I hand painted the middle of the logo of the center caps. Then re attached the fugi to the center cap.

Winter wheels??? What's this winter you speak of?

JK. Looks NICE... Are they gloss black or satin? I almost think you should keep the black ones on all the time...
