Car looks great and it's a good color choice there's a lot you can do with the Ivory pearl.

Wow--that's definitely a great deal. Plus you know it's been taken care of...

[QUOTE=nathanjax]Congrats. GREAT DEAL...

FYI though about the "loaded" part, your G looks to be without the wood grain option, heated seats, and I'm betting memory seats and reclining rear seats ( I THINK ).

You're right. No premium package(mirror is normal, no homelink, and the reclining seats had adjustable headrests), no sport(normal center console and non-sport wheels). Looks to be a normal base model with a spoiler added. Not quite 'loaded' but a decent deal. Car looks to be in excellent condition and he knows the history which is what you really want when buying used.

I have an 03 g35 sedan and am thinking about trading it in for a g35 coupe. I was wondering if you could tell me what year is the coupe your dad got, the miles on it, and how much he paid on top of the trade in. Thanks

Cheapest I've seen an 03 Coupe with 75k+ miles go for was $19,500 a few weeks ago.

My 06 Coupe still has a KBB value of 33k

.

wood grain? Are you serious? If my car had woodgrain id rip it out, just the thought of it, makes me throw up in my mouth a little, blech!

The memory seats arent a big deal and i rarely use my heated seats.

That does look clean. If you are on the budget, I recommend just getting the front Nismo aero bumper and painting the sides/rear. It pretty much has the same effect without spending all the extra $$$.

I agree with you. Wood trim is not what I call premium. I was quoting someone else, dood. A 'loaded' 2003 sedan to me has at least premium package. Heated seats were not available on the 2003 sedan under premium. They were in the winter package, which included a full size spare. Premium included the reclining back seats, memory seats, homelink, rear AC vents, dual AC and the blose premium stereo. Maybe a couple of other things I missed; but I got rid of my 2003 for a 2006 which did include the heated seats. Although I live in Florida, I was doing some scuba diving in one of the various cold springs in the area. After spending 2+ hours in the 72 degree water, I needed those heated seats.

My dad got 14K for his car when he traded it in and picked up his coupe for 20K. He got it from a wholesaler so I guess his car plus 6K

Not so...

Had he paid his dad the trade in value + taxes he would have had pay taxes on this total sum:

deal directly with Dad
assuming 8% sales tax
$13,901 (trade value or $14,200-$299) + his dad's tax savings ($1,112)
his total cost is $16,214 = 1.08 * ($13,901 + $1,112)

This way he pays taxes on:

deal through dealer
again assuming 8% sales
$14,200 = trade value + $299.
his total cost is $15,336 = 1.08 * $14,200

Given that all G35 drivers are good honest upstanding citizens who dutifully pay their correct and fair share of taxes he made out ahead

Congrats on your new car...
