WTF SRS light?!

Man, I'm just a little pissed off right now. I took my car in for some general maintenance and to check why my SRS light (air bag) was flashing. Turns out that my right side airbag is "out" and needs to be replaced. Cost? $785! For a damn airbag should have lasted the life of the car or until used up. The place I took my car to called the dealership for the part and the manager stated that they have been selling a bunch of these. Also, some sensor might also be need to be replaced which would cost an additional 400 bucks. GOD DAMN! Sorry guys, just venting.

I assume your car is out of warranty. Don't buy parts from the dealer. Save some money and buy them from one of the online Infiniti parts sites.

Just checking, did you disconnect anything near the airbag before the SRS light started flashing? I accidentally did this one time and my SRS light was flashing, so I used the reset proceedure (search for it) and the light turned off. No more problems.

You might want to try the reset proceedure to see if the problem goes away. If it still exists, then the light should still flash. Just don't want to see you spend $1200 for no reason.

Wow that sucks. I hope they are wrong and you just need a reset.
