Headlight HAZING

Hey guyz

I know that there is a common problem with all the Gs and that is that the headlight hazes. I know that this has happened to more than a couple of Gs. ANyone got any ideas of how to clear the hazing out? I tried opening the headlamp and cleaning the inside but that doesn't help! ANYONE? I want a COVER! NO foggy stuff!

Thanks for your help in advance!

ED.

Re: Headlight HAZING

I don't think this is just an Infiniti thing, my '00 Mustang GT had some hazing on one of the headlights, seemed like it was on the inside anyway!

Re: Headlight HAZING

I used Klasse AIO and it claened the lens perfectly but it seems to be a weekly affair.

Re: Headlight HAZING

Is it difficult to open the headlight? Doesn't that break the seal?

Re: Headlight HAZING

My haze is on the outside. Should work for both but isn't the seal on the headlight broken after you take it apart or is it a gasket?

Re: Headlight HAZING

the headlight seal is broken once you take them apart.. you can re-seal them with new glue but it has to be done very carefully.

Re: Headlight HAZING

mcguires plastic cleaner - comes in a smaller size white bottle. It takes the haze off. Its not on the inside for anyone to date that I have heard. I would never break that seal or you'll get moisture in there. If the seal is broken I would want the dealer to do it.

Re: Headlight HAZING

Hey Eddie

There is a TSB out for the foggy headlights. Just take it in if you don't wanna clean it yourself, and the dealer will clean it for you (mine took a few minutes).

Re: Headlight HAZING

Do you follow with their polish as well. I found that both steps were needed and stubled on the Klasse solution by being sloppy when waxing the hood.

Re: Headlight HAZING

Never tried it but I will look for it now. Its by 3M so it has to be a quality product.

It IS on the inside for some people, me included. I'll have the dealer fix it on my next scheduled maint.
