G35 sedan belt differences?

My girl's 2003 sedan was built on 5/2002 according to driver's side door jamb. While checking some sites a couple of weeks ago, I noticed some different belt choices according to the build date. On searching through the forums, I've also discovered that in mid-03, they went to electric fans and I assume that is why the belt is different.

Which belt is different? The alternator? Are the a/c belts the same?

Does anyone know the actual belt lengths?

Thanks for the help.
Steve

belt should be the same. nissan just replaced the fan drive with an idler pulley on the new cars.

it should be a k060465 (that's a gates part number.)

you may want to verify this though.

The thing is, I went to Advance auto parts on Saturday and asked for some belts. They had 2(for the alternator one, i believe). I think one was 36.5" and one was 37.5". I don't believe they even carried gates. I've got a couple other parts stores in town, I was just checking it out.

That's odd. I thought they were the same size too.

Ok. I did a little more research last night. It seems that the alt belts are the same @ like 47". The a/c's are different. I'm guessing that the pulley on the compressor are different diameters because one specified from 1/00 to 9/00 with OEM compressor. That would explain the 36.5 and 37.5" belts.

I swapped the belts yesterday. I wasn't sure about the a/c one so I bought the smaller 36.5" one. I had a 50% chance, right. Worst case, I drive back down to parts store and swap it out for the larger one. It was the smaller one. I just wanted to follow up in case anyone else has the same question.
