Am I the only one that thinks smoked/tinted lights are wack?

+1 to the OP, anything that reduces the light output from your taillights or headlights is begging for an accident considering the complete idiots on the road today. In Texas, they don't even require you to take a road driving test to get a drivers license anymore... insane!

So i'm trying to get to work today coincidentally, a black RSX with blacked out tails infront of me apparently hit his breaks.. with the sun in my eyes, had to slam on the break to avoid rear ending him- made me think about this post. BTW I'm all for painting the inner housing of the head lamp looks really classy

i think the blacked out look only looks good on black cars. for the lighter colored cars like white or silver i like the way the clear lenses or red/clear lenses look.

just my opinion though..

I think painting the headlight housing black inside the lens looks good, but those overlays for the tails and headlights I'm not really a fan of, but if you like it then that's all that matters.

Same here...and it impedes your lighting.

The only way i would get blacked out overlays is if everything else on the car is black. Rims, windows, emblems ,door handles ect.

I like tinted tails on black G's. I don't like headlight tint. Anyting that reduces light output is bad.

i think it depends on the color and theme of the car.

like vq hotness said

and the full super dark black out looks bad no matter what usualy..

i love blacked out cars when done right. i hate the overlays with the light cut outs but light smoke isnt so bad on a black car. on any other colours it looks cheap
