The tech at infiniti was concerned about the provision in the warr that states:

"As a condition of this warranty, you are responsible
for properly using, maintaining and caring for your
vehicle as outlined in your Owner’s Manual, and of
maintaining copies of all maintenance records &
receipts for review by Nissan. Failure to do so is
likely to result in the denial of warranty.
Evidence of the performance of the required maintenance
should be kept and may need to be presented
as proof of such maintenance in connection
with related warranty repairs. To assist you in maintaining
appropriate records, the Maintenance Log
located in your Owner’s Literature Kit can be used
along with supporting repair invoices, receipts and
other such records."

Without the records, his concern was that a downstream warranty request could be denied b/c of lack of records.

That's pretty common language with manufacturer warranties, but all the cars I've ever owned, I've never seen the dealer put that to use. Not to say it can't happen, because I'm sure it protects them from things like if you never change your oil, never change air filters, etc... A good mechanic should be able to tell you if it was well maintained. If it was, I don't think there's anything to worry about. My '04 that I bought last year didn't have any dealer service records either, and I didn't have the original owner's service records, but I had no problems getting warranty work done. Good luck....

That is a hellava deal. Good catch. If it is clean, then don't hesitate. I don't think you will come across a deal like that again for a while.
I wouldn't worry about the lack of maintenance receipts. It is only the first 30K so no major service has come up, just routine oil changes and what not.

Those wheels on the car are the original wheels for the 06. The 06 didn't have a 5 spoke option. The carfax is probably just generalizing spoke wheels.
They could also be talking about the 10 spoke sports package wheels. In my opinion the 7 spokes look much better anyway. Either way that shouldn't be an issue.

Edit: I see, infiniti does call the 10 spokes, 5 spoke. Hmm. Crazy.

I'm also getting a well priced sedan for 20,500 next weekend! I was supposed to go on the 27th, but I severely injured my back (with cashiers check in hand) which rescheduled my trip for me...

Wish it didn't have the chrome wheels, but that can be fixed with OEM 19's Hmm, Z revised or H & R?

Other than that it is exactly what I was looking for. Didn't mean to thread-jack. I am just exited. I have been driving my '90 Toyota pickup, since the sale of my s2000 on Halloween...

It is possible. Like Kevin said, just the back window. The owner probably had after market wheels on the car, but in order to sell it, he found some 17" 06 wheels. According to infinitihelp.com you cannot get the aero without the sports package. He could have just added the spoiler as well. Either case is likely.

Sport package or not, that's still a great price for an '06 (again, if it checks out ok).

That's a good price.

I've looked at several '06's with 20K miles listed at $25.9K.

They were the AWD models. Not sure if there is a significant price difference vs RWD.

But 20K is a deal. I'd have virtually no payment for a car that cheap

Well, despite the great advice yall gave, I hit a snag, I found a car much closer (2006 w 26k mi) and test drove it (1k diff in price, but less mi)

It had Premium A + B, and man, I FELL IN LOVE with all the gadgetry. The one down south of town that I featured in post 1 seemed kind of plain jane by comparison (no premium packages, they called it a sport but turns out it was aftermarket spoiler).

It was a sunday, i told the dealer I would come by first thing mon AM and take to inifniti dealer for pre-buy inspection.

Some guy drives in Sunday late from out of state and buys it, cash, and it is gone from the lot.

now I start over, and man, it is HARD to find the premium packages in the ATL market. no idea why.

Bummer.

I know how you feel. I got a 2006 sedan at the end of last summer in Columbus GA and I had a hard time even finding a G sedan. Naley Infiniti had about 4 of them, but they were overpriced. They wanted like 27 for one with nav. I got mine for $24.5k with 25k miles. It's a base with sunroof, but the 06 base is pretty loaded, minus bose (isn't that good anyways), minus dual zone climate, and nav. I just wish the base had auto headlights. MY girlfriends 02 alitma SL has that and the self dimming rear view.

I feel your pain. I'm flying about 600 miles (to Charlotte, NC) tomorrow afternoon to go pick mine up. I am in Memphis and in the past 2 years I can count on one hand the 6MT sedans that have I've seen for sale locally. Always the wrong color though.....You have to travel to get what you want, unless you live in the right place.
