Did anyone ever had their xenon headlights stolen??

I think "kid21" was talking about the news last night..Didnt get to watch the whole thing but they said somewhere in the East Coast thiefs are targetting Xenon headlights specially the one on the Maxima..

I think the problem is that some maximas don't come with Xenon lights. people rip them off to either upgrade their own ride or sell them on ebay. since all G35's come with Xenon the only risk would be from people ripping them off to resell them.

It has been on the news again in NJ this week (again), it mainly applies to the previous gen Maxima. The story, just mentioned that car but kept saying Nissan as if to say there were other cars in their line-up as well. I have not heard anything locally except the Maxima because it is easy to take them.

it happens for 2002 and 2003 maxima only. The petitioners argue that nissan didn't warn them of Xenon in maxima is easy to disassemble. No security for it, and Nissan only offers $175 kit for extra security. This can lead to civil lawsuit.

I have 2002 maxima also. I wanna see what the judge says about it. I think nissan should do voluntarily recall to install the kit.

We had an 02 a6 w/a v8 have the headlamps stolen and they beat the hood up pretty bad to get them out

what is it with thieves and car lighting? oh, but i remember a while back when there was a big story about people stealing jeep cherokee spare tires.
