Was there really oil on the road? Your tire treads looks pretty good. VDC on or off?

Whoa damn! That's nuts! Glad you're okay. I got into an accident last night too. Some chick was speeding and rammed my drivers side qtr panel. Side airbags deployed... I blacked out. As usual the cops were jerks but I'm fine. Accidents are never fun.

Thanks for the support everyone. To answer some of the questions:
1. The tires were pretty much brand new Kumho ASX (All Season)
2. VDC was on
3. For the local guys it is the entrance on to Belt Parkways east from 4th Ave in Brooklyn

Good god!

I'm glad you are ok!! That was a lot worse than I was expecting.

See if you can get your tail lights off the car. If they are still ok they will be worth some $ for you.

Thanks Tim. The car is deemed total. The tails are already gone . Traded for 04 ones.

I didn't do it, the tree did. And it is not just the shifter, it is entire tranny.
