Ran Into A Taxi Today...

Nothing major on my car but his looks pretty bad, Toyota Camry.
Nobody hurt, he basically turned right in front of me and I caught
him at the rear wheel and fender. I need a new front bumper and
was wondering what my options are, I drive a 03 and I like the
bumper but maybe because I have never looked at any others..I don't want to spend anything extra as it was his fault. I read somewhere that the 03/04 bumpers were the nicest but not sure, any suggestions guys...BTW I'm
in Canada and from what my body shop tells me that we are have
tougher laws for the front bumper..

idk where u got ur facts but the OEM non-aero 03/04 is the ugliest bumper EVER put on a G35 sedan.

ask him for the "factory aero front bumper". nismo is just a nickname, its actually part of the factory aero body kits option that you can get for the 03-04 G35 Sedans. It has the front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper valence all painted body color and a bit more aggressive looking. Don't confuse it with the "aero package", which is the rear wing and underbody diffusers.

I found a part no. and will call the stealers when they open, I did some research and it looks like the standard bumper is 225$ and the aero/nismo
is 840$, does that make sense, I know the insurance company won't go
for that, but it does come painted from what I understand...

You got that right, I found a reconditioned one in Florida for 330$
but they won't ship to Canada, this will be harder than I thought...

Getting closer 884$ out of Infiniti in upper state NY which means
I would have to drive down there and take off the old one and pop
on the new one, wonder how hard that would be...

It's not too hard to install it yourself. I wouldn't recommend doing it in some parking lot a couple of hours away from home though. The most difficult part is drilling out the old rivets in the side marker bracket. You also need a rivet gun to reattach the bracket to the new bumper.

I did mine and it took a couple of hours with an extra set of hands helping.
